The First Deputy Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, Khatia Tsilosani held a meeting with the expert of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework assessment group, Mikheil Pakatsoshvili and deliberated on the elimination of the energy, environmental and poverty challenges in Georgia.

Kh. Tsilosani accentuated the reforms undertaken in these certain directions.

“At the meeting, we concentrated on two issues - the activities scheduled by the Government within the Gender Equality Council format and the Parliamentary oversight thereof, and the assessment of the activities implemented by the Government in the environmental aspect and the role of the Parliament in the fulfillment of the commitments assumed in regard to the EU, and the sustainability development goals. The guest underlined that Georgia is one of the outstanding and best partners, taking into thorough consideration the reflection of the sustainable development policy into the national legislation. He emphasized the role of the Parliament as the oversight institution”, - she noted.
