Online meeting of Khatia Tsilosani with the Head of the Bulgaria-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group

The Head of the Georgia-Bulgaria Parliamentary Friendship Group, Khatia Tsilosani held an online meeting with her Bulgarian counterpart, Aleksandar Ivanov; the Heads of the Diplomatic Missions in Tbilisi and Sofia attended the meeting.
The parties discussed the bilateral cooperation prospects and further relations.
“At the meeting, we deliberated on the further cooperation between the Friendship Groups and touched upon the support provided by Bulgaria to Georgia on the EU integration path. It is noteworthy that Bulgaria was one of the first countries to adopt the Georgia-supportive resolution after our country received the EU candidate status. We overviewed various issues, such as bilateral cooperation in the defense and security sphere, intensification of the security issues in the Black Sea basin, and improvement of collaboration in the cultural, educational and the EU integration directions”, - Kh. Tsilosani noted.
In view of enhancing parliamentary relations, the parties agreed on the bilateral visits of the Parliamentary Delegations in Tbilisi and Sofia.
As noted, next week, the Ambassador of Georgia is delivering a report to the Bulgaria-Georgia Friendship Group in the Parliament of Bulgaria to speak about the foreign policy directions and cooperation prospects between the two countries.
