Koba Narchemashvili: In view to support the political system, I am for suspension of political blocs as they impede the formation of political system

Independent MP, Koba Narchemashvili met with members of the Students’ Parliament.
At the meeting, the students inquired about the issue of occupation and Geneva Talks. The parties talked about the proportional electoral system, and the zero threshold. The focus fell on the health policy.
As for the transition to a new electoral system, the MP noted that he favors transition to a proportional system, despite the fact that the process conveys its risks and some threats therefrom. "In view to support the political system, I am for suspension of political blocs as they impede the formation of political system and allow the idle individuals to remain in politics", - the independent MP elucidated.
“I find the Health-Care and Social Solidarity Policy of the Georgian Dream to be appropriate. This policy has saved many lives, since 2016 births have led to deaths, many clinics have been opened, many people have been employed, and generally this is a responsible policy, though certen drawbacks have also been identified recently. In particular, the quality of health care service fails to a certain extent. In addition, funds assigned for health care need more careful oversight”, - Koba Narchemashvili noted.
The youth asked the MP to comment on the developments of June 20. “Absence of the analytics that could lead to this shall be deemed as a failure from the side of the intelligence service. The night of June 20 is a political error, and would have been escaped in case of the proper reforms implemented to these agencies. In addition, it is inconceivable that a person with an eye injury would not be recognized as a victim. The rights of the victim should have been looked through the procedures”, - Koba Narchemashvili responded.
The representatives of the Students’ Parliament were concerned with the issue of the President’s recent pardon act of forgiveness. As per the MP, the President holds an honorable constitutional power making her more obliged while addressing the population.
“When the President makes a dubious decision far from what the population expect, it shall be elucidated that the act could not have been repealed due to its being constitutional, not an administrative one. Due to its legal power, the act could not be repealed, but suspension and moratorium are incomprehensible, because if the President reserves the right to pardon, the inmate then holds back the right to be pardoned as well, if, of course, deserved”, - the MP commented.
