The Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Maka Botchorishvili held a meeting with the Directors of EU Integration Offices of the Foreign Affairs Ministries of Balkan countries.

The parties discussed the common EU aspirations and highlighted the importance of the creation of parliamentary formats between Georgia and the West Balkans.

The parties touched upon the progress of Georgia at the EU integration path, approximation with the EU in various directions and the importance of the engagement of the Parliament in this process. The importance of the proper use of the potential of the Association Agreements and enhancement of cooperation with the EU institutions.

The parties overviewed regional security and underlined the importance of the EU enlargement policy to ensure long-term peace and welfare in the region.
