Visit of Maka Botchorishvili to Greece

The Parliamentary Delegation headed by the Chair of the EU Integration Committee Maka Botchorishvili serves a visit to Greece. The visit includes meetings with the Chairs of the European Affairs and National Defense, and the Foreign Affairs Committees, Greece-Georgia Friendship Group members and the representatives of the Foreign Ministry of Greece.
At the meetings, the parties dwelt on the historical meaning of the European perspective for Georgia, fulfillment of the EU recommendations, the activity of the working groups, developed legal initiatives and further plans.
The Greek officials affirmed the intact support of Greece to the EU integration of Georgia. The parties touched upon the parliamentary cooperation prospects, cooperation in tourism, people-to-people links, trade-economic relations and cooperation in the cultural and educational spheres, as well as the geopolitical reality in Europe and the Black Sea region security challenges. Georgian MPs held meetings with EPLO President, EPLO fellows and foreign students.
M. Botchorishvili held a meeting with the former European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, Dimitris Avramopoulos who has highly contributed to visa liberalization for Georgia.
