First Deputy Chairman of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, Shalva Kiknavelidze and First Deputy Chairman of the Legal Issues Committee, David Matiikashvili met with members of the Governmental Delegation of Tajikistan.

The MPs briefed the guests on the structure of the Parliament of Georgia. During the meeting the parties discussed the legislative process and the importance of strengthening the oversight function of the Parliament.

“The Governmental Delegation of Tajikistan was particularly interested in sharing the experience in lawmaking process. They also inquired about the anti-discrimination law”, - S. Kiknavelidze remarked.

“We introduced the Governmental Delegation of Tajikistan with the experience we gained through adopting and implementing the anti-discrimination law in 2014. They are elaborating on this law in their own country”, - D. Matiikashvili noted.
