Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee and Head of the Georgian Delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, and Nino Iobashvili, Deputy Chairperson of the EU Integration Committee, member of the Georgian Delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, met with the OSCE PA Special Representative on the South Caucasus, Kari Henriksen to discuss the situation in Georgia's occupied territories, Russia's annexation plans, Russia's continuous aggression in Ukraine, and the ongoing negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

"We talked about the dire situation in the occupied territories, the steps of Russia's intended annexation, and the possibility of conducting a referendum in South Ossetia. We discussed the issue of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the state's resettlement strategy. We also discussed the continuing negotiations and normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations. We presented our Peaceful Caucasus Initiative plan to the Special Representative of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and conveyed our willingness to participate in the process. We focused on the ongoing Russian aggression in Ukraine and serious developments in the context of regional security", - Nikoloz Samkharadze stated.
