The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze held a meeting with the Speakers of the Factions included in the structure of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Bundestag.

The parties touched upon Georgia-EU relations, the role of Georgia in policy on evading the sanctions imposed on Russia, the Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence, the domestic political situation and the pre-electoral milieu.

N. Samkharadze informed his German colleagues about the grave situation and the threats in the occupied regions of Georgia.

“At the meeting, we overviewed various issues. It was an open discussion. We touched upon quite a heavy expressions, made by the Chair of the Bundestag Committee, Michael Roth during his visit to Georgia; I expressed my concern that the German high official insults the Georgian people and the Georgian Church”, - N. Samkharadze noted.
