Meeting of Nikoloz Samkharadze with the colleagues in the Senate and the National Assembly of France

Within the framework of the visit to France, the Foreign Relations Committee delegation headed by the Chair, Nikoloz Samkharadze met with the representatives of the Senate and the National Assembly of France.
Meetings were held with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, M. Jean-Louis Bourlanges and the Deputy Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs, Defense and Armed Forces Committee of the Senate, Ms. Catherine Dumas.
The accents at the meetings were made on the EU and NATO integration of Georgia and the progress and further activities of the country. The parties discussed bilateral relations, including in the spheres of economics, trade, culture and education, as well as parliamentary relations. In the context of the developments in the region, the emphasis was placed on the key role of Georgia in the security of Europe and a wider region.
“The central topics of our conversation were security, European aspirations of Georgia and bilateral political and economic, as well as educational and cultural relations. We are delighted that France, being a leading EU member state, has become a stronger supporter of the European integration of Georgia”, - N. Samkharadze noted.
The Delegation, headed by Nikoloz Samkharadze, is composed of: the First Deputy Chair, Mariam Lashkhi, and the Committee member Grigol Vashadze.
