Nino Burjanadze, Acting President of Georgia, met David Woodward, President of BP Azerbaijan. At the meeting he confirmed the special role of Georgia in the ”Big Silk Road” projects” :”South Caucasus Gas-Pipeline” and ”Baku-Tbilisi-Jeihan Oil Pipe-line” and declared that the ongoing political processes in Georgia have not influenced the successful implementation of the projects on the territory of Georgia and they are being developed in an intensive way in accordance with the worked out plan.

Nino Burjanadze underlined that the government of Georgia would meet all the obligations related to the questions of construction of oil and gas pipeline, since the successful execution of these projects serve the inetrests of both the economic and political interests of Georgia.
