Nino Burjanadze Welcomed Ukraine President Advisor

Nino Burjanadze, the Acting President of Georgia, welcomed the Ukrainian delegation leaded by Anatoli Zlenko, the Ukrainian President Advisor in special issues. At the meeting the talk covered the Georgian-Ukrainaian future relations. The parties discussed also the regional cooperation and the Suami prospects, the chairman country of which is Georgia. The Ukrainian President Advisor noted that Ukraine would never interfere in the internal affairs of Georgia, though it is very important for Ukraine stability to be maintained in the neighbouring country. As mentioned by Anatoli Zlenko, the government of Ukraine pays great attention to the events recently unfolding in Georgia and is glad that everything ended up peacefully without bloodshed.

 

The Ukrainian guest calls the peaceful replacement of the government in Georgia the political wisdom. He noted that the Ukraine understands the difficulties Georgia is facing, especially in the field of economy.

 

” The visit aims at the official Ukraine be assured that the present government of Georgia follows the same policy existing in the Georgian-Ukrainian joint projects until now. It is confirmed that the government of Ukraine officially recognises the new government of Georgia”-stated Anatoli Zlenko.

 

At the end of the meeting Nino Burjanadze forwarded the Reward of Merit to the Ukrainian President Advisor and said that this rewarding was planned by Edward Shevardnadze, former President of Georgia.
