The meeting of the Non-Faction MPs with the PACE Monitoring Committee

The parties discussed the political processes in Georgia, judicial and electoral reforms, Constitutional changes, and media-related issues, including July 5 developments.
The parties touched upon the detention of Mikheil Saakashvili and the polarization in the country.
“They were very attentive about the Constitutional changes and media issues. We discussed the July 5 developments and the forceful groups, judicial system, and the detention of Mikheil Saakashvili. They asked about our reason for the 2% threshold and we explained that under the 5% threshold in 2016, 21% of the votes have been lost and the high threshold fails to reflect the will of the people in the Parliament”, - Paata Manjgaladze stated.
The meeting was attended by Khatuna Samnidze, Tariel Nakaidze and Paata Manjgaladze.
