The Draft Organic Law on the Constitutional Court adopted with the III Reading

The Parliament discussed with the III reading and adopted with 83 votes against 6 the Draft Organic Law on the Constitutional Court stipulating the disputes between the authorities of the constitutional bodies.
The Draft entitles the President of Georgia, Parliament, Government, High Council of Justice, Prosecutor General, Board of the National Bank, Auditor General, Public Defender and the representative and executive bodies of Autonomous Republics to file a constitutional claim to the Constitutional Court if believing that any of the legal act, action or omission fully or partially violated their constitutional authority.
The satisfaction of a claim by the CC entails the recognition of a legal act or its part as unconstitutional.
The Constitutional COurt verifies the compliance of the normative act with the Constitution of Georgia. The Draft shall become effective upon promulgation.
