The Parliament took note of information on the voluntary resignation of the Chief of the State Security Service, Anri Okhanashvili

The Parliament took note of information on the voluntary resignation of the Chief of the State Security Service, Anri Okhanashvili, and the termination of his credentials ahead of time, at the plenary session.

“I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Anri Okhanashvili for his unwavering dedication to the State Security Service. We have recently observed a marked improvement in the Service’s effectiveness, and Mr. Okhanashvili’s invaluable contributions have been instrumental in this success. I extend my best wishes for continued success in his future endeavours”, - H.E. Shalva Papuashvili, Speaker, addressed the assembled attendees.

Mr. Okhanashvili was elected as the Chief of SSS by the Parliament in April 2025.
