Parliament considered, in the I reading, the draft law “On Amendments to the Law of Georgia on Higher Education,” amending the Law on Higher Education.

The draft was presented at the plenary session by Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth Zviad Gabisonia.

According to the amendment, the content of the transitional provision of the law will be clarified, and it will be explicitly defined that changes in the number of credits will apply to students enrolled from 1 September 2025 in bachelor’s degree programs.

The amendment was supported by 78 Members of Parliament.
