The sanctions to be established for the damage of the Symbols of the partner states

The Bureau discussed the legal changes establishing the sanctions for the damage of the Symbols of the partner states.
The draft creates a respective legal basis and establishes the fine of 1000 GEL to the natural persons for the damage and profanation of the official symbols of the EU, NATO, or the international organizations where Georgia is the member of which, as well as the National Symbol of the State with which Georgia has the diplomatic relations and which are hoisted or fly on the public institutions, in front of them on in the building.
The changes stipulate that the repeated offense will impose the fine of 2000 GEL or the 15 days of administrative detention of the natural persons.
The draft is initiated by the Speaker, Kakha Kutchava and MPs – Alexander Elisashvili, Pridon Injia, Khatuna Samnidze, Nikoloz Samkharadze and Badri Japaridze.
