The Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze to report to the Parliament about the Governmental Program on June 28, at the last plenary of the spring session – this was the announcement made by the Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili at the Bureau today.
The plenary agenda of the current week includes the Draft Constitutional Changes, and the Draft Law on Protection of Family Values and Minors.
“Within the framework of the considerations, we met with up to 5000 citizens in 11 regions and heard their absolute support for the legal package concerning family values and minors. Besides, on May 17, we witnessed up to million citizens marching in the Capital and the regions in support of the Draft Law. The factual referendum on the hereof issue has already been held and now, it is our duty to convert the voices of our citizens into the Law. I hope this week the opposition will stand by the side of country, adhering to the interests of Georgian citizens, participate in the consideration of the legal package and approve it”, - the Speaker stated.
On June 25-28, the Parliament is also considering the justified comments of the President to the Draft Election Code, is hearing the Public Defender’s report for 2023, and electing the members of the Supreme Court, and the Board of Trustees of the Public Broadcaster.
The Bureau also discussed new legal initiatives and assigned the leading and mandatory Committees.
