Media and Society 29 Dec 2023
Foreign Relations Committee Endorsing 2024 Action Plan

During the meeting of the Foreign Relations Committee, the committee approved its action plan for 2024. Nikoloz Samkharadze, the Chairman of the Committee, presented the action plan to the committee members.

The action plan encompasses strategic objectives of Georgia's foreign policy, including initiatives to advance the de-occupation process and restore territorial integrity, as well as efforts to further Georgia's integration into the European Union and NATO.

Additionally, the plan outlines measures to strengthen the strategic partnership between Georgia and the United States, enhance bilateral and regional cooperation, and explore opportunities for deeper collaboration with international organizations.

Furthermore, the action plan underscores the committee's commitment to increasing the effectiveness of its oversight activities in 2024.

"In 2023, we took a very important step towards achieving one of our most important foreign policy priorities and we received the status of a candidate for EU membership, to which the committee will make a great contribution, and I would like to thank the members of the committee for this very important activity”, - Nikoloz Samkharadze stated.

The members of the Foreign Relations Committee supported the presented action plan.
