The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, and the Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Levan Makhashvili, held meetings with the Deputy Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives, Kathleen Depoorter, Member of the Chamber of Representatives Werner Somers, as well as representatives of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed opportunities for strengthening parliamentary diplomacy and enhancing cooperation between the two legislative bodies. They also exchanged views on prospects for expanding the bilateral agenda, as well as on current developments in Georgia and the wider region.

The discussions covered the Georgia–EU partnership, the steps taken by Georgia on its path toward European integration, and the challenges affecting bilateral relations. The participants underscored the importance of maintaining a comprehensive and constructive dialogue.
