Statement of the Cabinet of the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia

Earlier today, April 8, the Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine to Georgia, H.E. Andriy Kasyanov stated at a briefing that a letter had been delivered to the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili yesterday, April 7, to which he did not respond - which is not true.
The letter was not received in the Parliament not only yesterday, but even today during the briefing of the Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine.
The letter arrived only after the Speaker's office contacted the Ukrainian Embassy and asked them to clarify the situation.
We hope that in the future, the Ukrainian Embassy in Georgia will avoid such misunderstandings.
The Cabinet of the Speaker of Parliament is always open and ready to communicate with the Embassy.
At the same time, we would like to inform the public that the Chairman of the Parliament has shifted to a remote working mode due to his health condition.
