Parliamentary Delegation of Georgia Met with Director of the Analytical Center “Quincy Institute”

As part of their visit to the United States, members of the Parliamentary Delegation of Georgia met with Anatol Lieven, Director of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, as well as with the Institute’s researchers.
The meeting addressed the foreign policy of the new U.S. administration, including its approach toward the South Caucasus region. The parties also discussed ongoing developments in the Middle East.
During the meeting, the discussion touched upon the Russia–Ukraine war and the policy approaches of the United States administration in this regard.
Ongoing developments in Georgia were also among the topics discussed. Particular attention was paid to Georgia’s security challenges, including attempts and instances of external interference.
The parties further exchanged views on the prospects for the development of the Middle Corridor and the vision of the new U.S. administration in this context.
The parliamentary delegation is led by Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee.
The delegation includes Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee; Lika Shartava, Member of the EU Committee; and Eka Sepashvili, Deputy Chair of the political group “People’s Power.”
