Meeting of Representatives of Parliamentary Opposition with Georgia-EU Association Parliamentary Committee

The representatives of the parliamentary opposition met with the European Parliamentarians - the Chairperson of the Georgia-EU Association Parliamentary Committee, Marina Kaljurand, and the rapporteur on Georgia, Sven Mikser to discuss the EC’s 12-point recommendations to Georgia.
As the opposition MPs noted after the meeting, the MEPs called the parliamentary opposition to join the working groups, because the government and the opposition should work together on issues that concern national interests.
"These people keep telling us the same thing, you have to sit down and work together. And this is especially true for those who refuse to participate in working groups. Today, they also remembered the events around entering the parliament and said that when one is entrusted the mandate of their citizens, they should be in the parliament", - the Vice-Speaker of the parliament, Levan Ioseliani noted.
