Parliamentary Political Group “European Socialists” Discussed the Implementation of the 2025 State Budget

The parliamentary political group “European Socialists” held a meeting with the First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze, to discuss the implementation of the 2025 State Budget.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the results of the implementation of the 2025 State Budget as well as forecast indicators for 2026.

According to Giorgi Kakauridze, the country’s economic growth and strong budget revenue performance throughout 2025 once again confirmed the effectiveness of the government’s economic policy.

The First Deputy Minister noted that business activity has increased significantly, economic activity continues to expand, and the financial capacity of municipalities is strengthening, all of which contribute to the country’s sustainable development.

The meeting also addressed Georgia’s economic and fiscal priorities for 2026.

According to Kakauridze, the current positive trends provide a solid foundation for even more effective utilization of domestic resources.

The Chair of the political group, Vladimer Bozhadze, emphasized the importance of the efficient reallocation of unspent budget funds. In response, the First Deputy Minister noted that these resources will most likely be directed toward programs under the IDPs, Labour, Health and Social Affairs Ministry, as healthcare and social support needs of Georgian citizens remain the most pressing priorities at this stage.

As stated by the Vice Speaker of Parliament and member of the political group, Ilia Injia, maintaining economic stability and a responsible fiscal policy remains one of the key prerequisites for the country’s development.
