At today's session, the Committee discussed the matter concerning the early termination of the mandate of David Sergeenko, a member of the Parliament of Georgia.

As expressed by Irakli Kadagishvili, the Chairman of the Committee, MP David Sergeenko submitted an application to the Speaker on October 27, requesting the early termination of his parliamentary mandate. Following the stipulations in the Rules of Procedure, the Committee verified the legitimacy of the application. It was determined that, in line with the Constitution of Georgia and the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, the authority of Member of Parliament David Sergeenko should be concluded before the designated timeframe.

The Committee has accepted the parliamentarian's statement, and its decision will be forwarded to the bureau for further proceedings. Subsequently, the issue will be deliberated upon during the plenary session of the parliament.
