The Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili held a meeting with the State Secretary for Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Henrik Thune.

At the meetings, the productive bilateral and multilateral cooperation directions have been discussed. The Speaker expressed his gratitude to Norway for its support of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Georgia.

The parties overviewed the progress of our country on the EU integration path and dwelt on the Russian aggression in Ukraine and its consequences. Providing the geopolitical reality, the parties stressed the importance of the close and regular political dialogue.

The Norwegian politician thanked Georgia for the aid in the evacuation of the NATO forces and civilians from Afghanistan.

The forthcoming 30th anniversary of the Georgia-Norway diplomatic relations was underlined by the parties.

The Parliamentary Delegation is composed of MPs: Nikoloz Samkharadze, Maka Botchorishvili, Maia Bitadze and Hermann Szabo.
