The Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili held a meeting with the Defense Minister of Sweden, Peter Hultqvist during his visit to the Kingdom of Sweden.

The parties discussed the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia and the EU membership application of Sweden, emphasizing the challenges entailed by the Russian aggression in Ukraine and the importance of the international security guarantees.

According to the Swedish politician, Sweden strongly supports the European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Georgia.

The visit of the Speaker to the Nordic countries is being accomplished with the meetings in Sweden.
