The Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili held a meeting with the Chair of the EP Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, Iratxe GARCÍA PÉREZ.

The parties underlined the close links between the Political Party “Georgian Dream” and the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats and the support of the common European values.

The parties overviewed the EU membership application of Georgia, undertaken and scheduled reforms in the country and Russian aggression in Ukraine.

Mme. Garcia Perez expressed her support to the EU aspiration of Georgia.
