The Speaker of the Parliament, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili met with cadets at the David Agmashenebeli National Defense Academy of Georgia in Gori.

During the visit to the National Defense Academy, the Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, alongside Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani and Chief of the Defense Forces Major General Giorgi Matiashvili, addressed various significant aspects of national defense and security. Mr. Papuashvili emphasized the global and regional challenges facing Georgia, underscoring the importance of ongoing defense projects and future initiatives undertaken by the government.

Minister Chikovani highlighted the pivotal role of the academy in shaping the future of cadets and expressed his wishes for their success. Throughout the visit, Papuashvili toured several essential facilities including the living barracks, distance learning center, laboratories, simulation center, academy library, and exhibition spaces.

Accompanying Speaker Papuashvili were Aleksandre Tabatadze, Chair of the Defense and Security Committee, and Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee.
