The Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Slovakia adopted the Resolution supporting the European Future of Georgia; as the document envisages, the Committee acknowledges the importance of a clear demonstration of the support of the European perspective of Georgia.

The Committee fully supports the activity of the EU and Slovakia at the diplomatic and political level, which facilitates the realization of the hereof perspective.

“Since Slovakia accessed the EU, the EU enlargement has become one of the key priorities of the foreign and European policy of Slovakia. Today, we face a new challenge, which is the EU integration of our neighbor, Ukraine. However, we shall not forget about other countries that have expressed their will for EU integration and with which Slovakia enjoys long-term partnership relations. In this context, Georgia is of particular importance, which officially expressed the EU and NATO integration desire. The achievement of this goal requires the intensification of efforts for the compliance of the necessary criteria”, - the Resolution provides.
