Meeting of Tamar Charkviani with Ambassador of Poland

Independent MP Tamar Charkviani met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, H.E. Mariusz Maskiewicz to discuss the health condition of the third imprisoned President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili.
In this context, T. Charkviani stressed the importance of transferring the former president to a multifunctional clinic.
The conversation focused on the current situation in Georgia and the foreign policy course of our country.
The MP also stressed the importance of reforming the justice system.
"I spoke about the need for justice reform in Georgia and, in the case of the president, the application of Article 6 of the European Convention, which stipulates the right to a fair trial”, - T. Charkviani said.
The meeting was also attended by the First Adviser to the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland on Politics and Economy, Mariusz Pietrzak.
