Penalties to get increased for the violation of the high-capacity vehicles, time and period in Tbilisi

The administrative liability shall become stricter for the violation of the place and time established by the municipality for the high-capacity vehicles in Tbilisi.


The Parliament discussed for the III reading and adopted the Draft Code of Administrative Offenses with 74 votes, pursuant to which, the violation of the place and time established by the municipality for the high-capacity vehicles of M3, N2 and N3 categories on common roads in Tbilisi shall be subject to the penalty of 1000 GEL for the first incident, and 3000 GEL per repeated offense.


The same amount of penalty shall be imposed on a person conducting the economic activity by means of high-capacity vehicles in similar cases. In line with the current norm, the penalty for the hereof violation constitutes 100 GEL.


At that, the aforementioned restriction shall not apply to:
- Vehicles appurtenant to the public institutions that move in view of the activity of the hereof institutions;
- Vehicles that are eligible to use the blue and red flashing lights;
- Vehicles of M3 category for the regular passenger transportation within the administrative borders of Tbilisi municipality; as well as M3 categories for the transportation of early and preschool, as well as general, higher and vocational school children;
- Vehicles holding the permit of the LEPL established by the municipality or a structural unit of Tbilisi City Assembly
