The briefing by Member of the Faction “Patriots of Georgia”, Ada Marshania

The briefing by Member of the Faction “Patriots of Georgia”, Ada Marshania

The Member of the Faction “Patriots of Georgia”, Ada Marshania speaks about necessity of changes to the Rules of Procedure.

The basic law of activity of the legislators is the Rules of Procedure concluding gaps. A. Marshania spoke about the opinions of the Faction about the changes. “We still fight on quotes. I became aware that in terms the situation has aggravated as the National Movement has been split in two Factions as they are entitled but it does not grant them ground to require additional quotes to the international organizations, Trust Group or for the positions of Deputy Chairmen. All these rights are granted to the Parties overcoming the thresholds”.

She touched upon scarcity of time allocated for the statements and noted that MPs shall have more time under the Rules of Procedure to make political or other statements. “Procedure of giving the floor is absolutely vague and restricts authority of MP. We shall have enough time in the Parliament for statements without any permission”.

According to the current edition, procedure of entry of MPs into the prisons is non-Constitutional and A. Marshania initiated the changes.

According to her, the special group shall be set up for revision of the Rules of Procedure. “We shall appeal for set up of the working or inter-faction group. We shall revise the Rules of Procedure and amend it in reasonable manner. There are the Articles contradicting with the Constitution. There are the sections demonstrating the regime of the country in the past. We shall improve the Rules of Procedure”.
