The meeting of Ani Mirotadze with Interns

The Deputy-Chair of Foreign Relations Committee met with the interns. She spoke about relevant topics for Georgia, Georgia-EU current and future relations and underlined importance of EUAA. According to her, actions by the Government only are not sufficient in terms of EU approximation, each Georgian shall be ready to accept European values which implies obedience to the law, protection of others’ rights and more tolerance first of all.
She spoke as well about Georgia-Russia relations and emphasized restoration of territorial integrity. “At this stage I am content with actions by the Government in this term, though I hope that with sequential policy we will have our territories back”. She attached her attention to investigation of Y. Vazagashvili’s death. She noted that the legislative control is held over this issue and the investigation is at the final stage.
She also spoke about importance and role of media. The Government shall not interfere in editorial policy of any media. Independent media is one of the indices of quality of democracy in the country. She answered the questions concerning mainly foreign relations and domestic relevant issues.
