The Deputy Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee, Endzela Matchavariani held the meeting with the Professor of John Hopkins University, the Head of the “Human Rights International Law Clinic”, Steven Schneebaum and the University students.

The guests asked about the quality of freedom of media in Georgia, human rights protection standards and the democratic reforms.

E. Machavariani introduced the situation of freedom of media and being the former journalist, dwelt on the importance of public awareness about the ongoing processes in the country.

The Professor thanked the host for the meeting and expressed commitment to cooperation in various spheres.

The students got cognizant of the Parliamentary activity's main directions and had a short tour in the Palace.
