The meeting of Giorgi Tsagareishvili with the interns

G. Tsagareishvili spoke about role of policy in society, as well as Parliamentary life and development of various institutions. Democracy is one of the greatest achievements of mankind and it is important to have more political pluralism and diversity in Georgia.
He spoke about environmental protection. This sphere is the less financed today and if not improved, Georgia will fail to fulfill obligations under EUAA. He also spoke about legislative activity and namely sundry drafts recently adopted by the Committee: Waste Management Code, severing sanctions for environmental pollution which is a step forward.
The interns asked about dump problems, protected areas, minerals, forest chopping, solid waste management, HPS construction etc. G. Tsagareishvili wished the interns success and invited them to attend the Committee sittings and expressed his commitment for cooperation.
This year the Parliament has 24 interns for 6 months. They are actively involved in Committee and staff activity. They hold meetings with Committee Chairs, their deputies and MPs. The internship is organized by HR Department.
