The meeting was held in Riga on June 15. The President expressed his condolence for deceased in Tbilisi due to natural disaster on June 13. He expressed commitment for aid. He once more confirmed intact support of Latvia to Georgian EU and NATO aspirations and underlined the progress achieved by Georgia. This progress will be positively reflected on EC final conclusion serving as the basis for visa free regime.

I. Sesiashvili congratulated Mr. Vējonis with victory in the elections. He thanked Latvia for constant support and spoke about progress of Georgia in EU and NATO cooperation terms. The parties spoke about bilateral relations and cooperation in international format. As noted, the countries have high potential for economic cooperation. Mr. Vējonis confirmed the official visit to Georgia scheduled for next year.
