The Member of the Faction “National Movement”, Nikanor Melia met with the USAID Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia, Brock Bierman participating in the OGP Global Summit in Georgia.

According to N. Melia, the guest asked about the current political and economic state in the country. The parties discussed future cooperation aspects and all the issues Georgian political spectrum encounters today.

“The significant part of our conversation was dedicated to the upcoming Presidential elections. Mr. Bierman asked about the complications the opposition parties, including our political union in pre-election process”, - N. Melia noted.

The guests have clearly reaffirmed commitment to facilitate to development of democratic processes in Georgia.

“We are a young democracy in need of strong support, especially by our key international partners, including USA”, - he noted.

The meeting was attended by the acting US Deputy Chief of Mission, Elizabeth Rood.
