The Member of the Gender Equality Council, Nino Tsilosani met with the Non-Resident Ambassador of Iceland, H.E. Benedikt Ásgeirsson to discuss the issues of interest of the Ambassador – GEC activity, protection of rights of women in Georgia etc.

N. Tsilosani dwelt on the legislative initiatives under the GEC aegis to protect rights of women, including concerning sexual harassment.

The parties touched upon the thematic inquiries as the Parliamentary oversight mechanism.

The Ambassador was informed about the respective events and reports.
