The Chair of the Committee, Teimuraz Chkuaseli and the Head of Georgia-Ukraine Friendship Group, Giorgi Topadze met with the acting Ambassador of Ukraine, Giorgii Nazarov.

As T. Chkuaseli noted, the parties discussed common goals and challenges of the two countries, such are territorial integrity and EU and NATO integration. As noted, both countries keep democratic reforming and establishment of European values. The Parties touched upon the recent events in Ukraine.

Teimuraz Chkuaseli: “The meeting was very interesting and important. We mainly discussed the common problems for our countries. We spoke about the recent events in Ukraine, Luhansk and Donetsk regions and in Sloviansk”.

Mr. Nazarov noted that it is honor to represent Ukraine in Georgia and in view of further enhancement of bilateral relations, expressed his commitment for cooperation with the respective Committees. After the meeting, the Parties exchanged the memorable gifts.
