The meeting of the Chair of Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Zurab Tkemaladze with the Minister of Industry and Trade of Czech Republic, Jan Mládek

Zurab Tkemaladze introduced the Committee activity and spoke about the spheres attributed to the Committee competence. He also introduced the dynamics of economic development of Georgia and spoke about the impact of the events in the region and in Europe on these processes.
According to Mr. Mládek, Czech Republic is a reliable partner for Georgia in EU integration and noted that the conditions are favorable for cooperation and partnership between the countries. “Czech industry and economic are being developed and progressed. We have the opportunity to cooperate in various construction and industrial spheres and we are able to participate in railway transport and bus transport tenders. We have high quality crystal and glass products, we produce multi-function beds for hospitals”.
He also spoke about visa regime simplification, cooperation in tourism and Georgian wine export perspectives. The Deputy-Chair, Temur Maisuradze spoke about the activity of the Innovative Council at the Committee and the projects facilitating to technologic progress.
The Czech Delegation is composed of MPs and business representatives. As noted, Czech and Georgian Economic Committees will be in closer cooperation.
