The meetings of David Saganelidze in People’s Republic of China

The leader of majority met with the Governor of Xinjiang AR and local authorities. The parties spoke about new silk road – economic bow project. The Governor hailed increasing trend of Chinese investments in Georgia and expressed hope for further cooperation in agriculture, transport and energy spheres. He also thanked Georgian side for invitation to silk road forum in Tbilisi and noted that the initiative of I. Garibashvili will increase trade-economic relations between the countries.
D. Saganelidze underlined the role Urumqi in Georgia-China relations. He also underlined importance of winery in Georgia and hoped that Xinjiang Governor will aid to distribute Georgian wine in Urumqi. He noted success of the working visit of Chinese Agricultural Minister to Georgia. He thanked China for agricultural equipment granted by China.
The Georgian delegation will visit Shaanxi province tomorrow to participate in investment-trade forum as an honorary guest. The international exhibition will include Georgian pavilion to expose historical-cultural and economic-social environ. The representatives of Georgian tourism, wine investment national agencies will introduce information about Georgia.
The Georgian delegation is composed of the Deputy-Culture Minister, L. Kharatishvili, Deputy-Agricultural Minister, L. Davitashvili, MPs and businessmen.
