The Procedural Issues and Rules Committee approved termination of authority of Zakaria Kutsnashvili ahead of time

The Committee discussed termination authority of Zakaria Kutsnashvili ahead of time and unanimously approved.

The Chair, Giorgi Kakhiani stated that termination of the authority is based on the personal application of MP submitted on June 28 to the Speaker. Authenticity of the application has been verified and hence, the Committee conclusion will be discussed at the plenary at the nearest extraordinary session.

The Committee discussed confirmation of authenticity of the signatures submitted by the initiative group of the citizens in view of submission of the draft Constitutional Law with the initiative of at least 200000 electors.

The group is composed of: Giorgi Akhvlediani, Alexander Baramidze, Tinatin Bokuchava, Constantine Gamsakhurdia, Paata Daviatia, Murman Dumbadze, Alexander Elisashvili, Giorgi Vashadze, Grigol Vashadze, Levan Tarkhnishvili, Mamuka Katsitadze, Tamar Kordzaia, Shota Malashkhia, Gocha Mamatsashvili, Nika Machutadze, Nikanor Melia, Tengiz Omanidze, Khatuna Samnidze, Giorgi Ugulava, Bachuki Kardava, Shalva Shavgulidze, Levan Chkheidze, Zurab Kharatishvili and Vakhtang Khmaladze.

G. Kakhiani introduced the information about 1-month verification of authenticity of the signatures and stated that verification revealed certain gaps and 26 386 signatures have been recognized void and 202 173 signatures authentic.

The Committee approved authenticity and as G. Kakhiani noted, it is the basis for initiation of the draft envisaging the proportional electoral system for 2020.
