The Special Briefing by Grigol Vashadze

Media and Society 05 May 2016
The Special Briefing by Grigol Vashadze

The MP, Giorgi Vashadze left UNM as he declared at the special briefing today.

“Today, Georgia is in the gravest situation entailed with incapacity and evident harmfulness of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s regime. People lost hope for the future as they have no perspectives. The country is governed by the puppet Government of B. Ivanishvili. Our aim is to create perspective and real opportunities for the citizens to development, employment and better life. We shall end informal government of B. Ivanishvili and it is feasible with energy, coherent and free power of a new generation solely. While being in public service, we managed to inculcate novelties, innovations and technologies and thus, established the brand new model of relations between people and state, for instance Public Service Halls. When coming to active policy, I strived to establish new political culture based on this experience to create the windows of opportunity for the new political class in the country, to create brand new perspectives and development for every citizen. The society, our electors cherished similar expectations from UNM. They expected innovations, new ideas and innovations but in vain! Instead of vital, open organism, we obtained closed office administration system, which deriving from its nature, is allied to B. Ivanishvili’s harmful governance and serves for personal interests of one small group of the party. This office administration has its names: Gia Bokeria, Misha Machavariani, Khatuna Gogorishvili, Goka Gabashvili and their façade – David Bakradze. I reject guaranteed seat in the next Parliament to be elected with façade renewed party list. I start new movement with the primary principle to bring new people to policy with new political culture, new ideas and new decision-making mechanisms. I address to our supporters, to the society which by our side, fought for powerful, successful country. It is time to be united and start real fight for new Georgia!”
