The Interparliamentary Conference for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP). was held on March 4-6 to consider the Russian aggression and military enhancement of Muslim Fundamentalists in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.

These events entailed unstable situation in East and South Europe. The conference was attended by more than 300 foreign policy and defense experts, MPs from EU member, candidate and partner states, NATO and EU officials.

The delegations discussed the further steps by EU to enhance security and how to establish cooperation between EU and NATO.
