Victor Dolidze to participate in the 4th EaP PA EuroNest Plenary session in Yerevan

On March 16-18 the session will be held in Yerevan. V. Dolidze will attend the session in capacity of the Head of the EaP PA EuroNest Delegation. The Georgian Delegation is composed of: Ani Mirotadze, Gia Zhorzholiani, Eka Beselia, Gigla Agulashvili, Giga Bukia, David Darchiashvili, Chiora Taktakishvili, Giorgi Zhvania.
The EuroNest Economic Integration, Legal and EU Policy Approximation, Political Issues, Human Rights and Democracy, Energy Security and Social Issues, Education, Culture and Civil Society Committee sittings will be as well held.
V. Dolidze and MEP Michal Bon, in capacity of Co-Chairs of the Political Human Rights and Democracy Committee, will introduce the draft resolution on “Closer Involvement and Cooperation between EU and EaP member states within the European Neighboring Policy in 2014-2020”.
The EaP PA Bureau will develop the address to the State and Heads of the State for Riga EaP Summit. EuroNest PA was inaugurated on May 3, 2011 in Brussels.
The Assembly is composed of 120 MPs, including 60 from EP and the EaP member states (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belorussia, Moldova, Ukraine) are represented with 10 MPs each. (Belorussia issue is still open – the recent processes in the country, especially post-elections 2010 and evaluations by EU impeded participation of Belorussia to the Assembly).
This institute is the forum for Parliamentary dialogue between EU and EaP partner states in the spheres: peace, stability, legislative harmonization, trade, energy, relations etc. Once per year, EuroNest convenes the plenary session and 4 Committees thereof convene twice per year. The Bureau sittings are held on regular-basis.
