David Matikashvili and Vano Zardiashvili awarded by the Council of Heraldry

Adoption of the law on Symbols of State Importance is one of the significant steps forward.

The bill was initiated by the Legal Issues Committee and namely, David Matikashvili and Vano Zardiashvili.

For their merit, the Council of Heraldry awarded them Medals especially developed on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Georgian Republic. The similar awards are delivered for special merit in development of state heraldry.

The Medal is the numismatic rarity issued in the number of 30 solely for: Chair of the Council of Heraldry, Eldar Shengelaia, author of the State Coat of Arms of Georgia Mamuka Gongadze, historian David Muskhelishvili, former Vice-Speaker Mikheil Machavariani and other persons contributing in development of state heraldry.

The bill was developed in cooperation with the Council of Heraldry and attributes all the symbols to the state heraldic policy frames.
