The Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, David Songulashvili, held a meeting with the representatives of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Georgia of the Parliament of Qatar.

The parties overviewed the economic, cultural and interparliamentary relations and underlined the significance of intense cooperation between the countries at international forums and platforms.

The guests accentuated that Qatar and Georgia are among the countries that highly contribute to the maintenance of global peace.

D. Songulashvili dwelt on the trade relations between the countries and expressed his commitment to enhancing collaboration in a free trade sphere. He also submitted the initiative to organize a joint economic forum to allow the private sector subjects to get acquainted and establish business links, which will facilitate the investments.

The parties touched upon the prospects to sing the Memorandum. D. Songulashvili thanked the Delegation of Qatar for active cooperation and supporting the territorial integrity of Georgia.
