Dimitri Khundadze Provides Young People with Information on Anti-Drug Policy

Chair of the parliamentary political group People’s Power, Dimitri Khundadze, met with students from various higher education institutions.

During the meeting, D. Khundadze focused on legislative amendments related to drug policy. In his conversation with the students, he stressed the dangers of drug use for a small country like Georgia and the potential harm it poses to the national gene pool.

The discussion was held in a Q&A format. Students raised questions about the reasons behind stricter penalties for drug-related offences, the framework of compulsory treatment, the conditions under which individuals may be exempt from liability, and other related topics.

D. Khundadze also highlighted the state's approach toward drug users, with a focus on their resocialisation and reintegration into society.
