The Administrative Responsibility to be established for the desecration of the Official Symbol of the EU, NATO and other International Organizations or the National Symbol of a respective State

The Parliament discussed with the I reading and adopted with 83 votes against 2 the Draft Code of Administrative Offenses, establishing the administrative responsibility for the desecration of the Official Symbol of the EU, NATO and other International Organizations or the National Symbol of a respective State.
“The Draft subjects any person for the desecration of the symbol of an international organization, or a flag or coat of arms of a foreign state Georgia enjoys diplomatic relations with, and these symbols are displayed or hoisted by the public institution, or in front of it, to the penalty of 1000 GEL. The repeated offense shall entail the penalty of 2000 GEL or administrative detention”, - Nikoloz Samkharadze stated.
