Within the framework of the visit to Cyprus, the Chair of the Education and Science Committee, Givi Mikanadze held a meeting with the Deputy Chair of the Education and Culture Committee of the Parliament of Cyprus, Chrysanthos Savvides.

At the meeting, the emphasis was made on cooperation between the two Committees and the establishment of the direct communication form, ensuring the instant exchange of information about the ongoing reforms and novelties.

The parties particularly concentrated on the intensification of the oversight function on the enforcement of the Memorandum of Cooperation concluded between the Ministries of Education of the two countries in 2018. The parties agreed on active cooperation, the conclusion of the joint communique and the convocation of joint Committee sittings within the exchange visits.

The meeting was attended by the Charge D’Affaires of the Embassy of Georgia to Cyprus, Tengiz Chumburidze.
